He Did Words

Tony passed away yesterday, on Friday August 6th, at his home in New York City. You can see here my eulogy for him in tomorrow’s edition of The Observer.

    Tony Judt will remain an inspiration to me and efforts being made worldwide to understand and treat ALS. He was a beautiful man.

    He was one of my very favorite professors. I was so grateful to have a class with him. He was an impressively bright and brilliant and generous man. I’m so sorry.
