Project A.L.S. is a non-profit 501(c)3 whose mission is to identify the first effective treatments and a cure for ALS, a fatal brain disease closely related to Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and Huntington’s Disease.
Project A.L.S. was founded in 1998 by Jenifer Estess, her family, and friends, when Jenifer was diagnosed with the fatal brain disease at the age of thirty-five.
To date, Project A.L.S. has raised over $54 million, directing 82% to research programs, and founded the Jenifer Estess Laboratory for Stem Cell Research at Columbia University, the worldʼs first and only privately funded lab dedicated exclusively to ALS stem cell research.
