Dipping our tyres in the Pacific Ocean in the coastal town of Astoria, Oregon on May 25th, the Move For ALS ride begins over the mountains and across the rivers of Oregon, Idaho and Wyoming. Cutting across the town of Casper, Wyoming we will soon find ourselves pedaling across hundreds of miles of flat desert amid the Great Plains of Nebraska and Iowa.
Arriving at Muscatine, Iowa at just past the half way point, we will continue on a north-eastward trajectory, traveling past Chicago, through Indiana and aiming to arrive in Cleveland, Ohio toward the end of June.
The final quarter will see us traverse along the coast of Lake Erie, through the town of Erie and across the state of Pennsylvania. Approaching New York City from the North West, we aim to arrive on the Atlantic coast at Brighton Beach, New York on July 25th, just in time for sunset and a swim.
If you would like to join us for a section of the ride – on bikes, on foot, or even in a wheelchair – please e-mail us at info@moveforals.com. We strive to have people Moving For ALS all across America.
